Lessons Learned in 2018

Lessons I learned in 2018

Lesson #1: I should have been making a list of lessons I learned every year since I have been an adult and out of my parents’ house. It could have saved me some grief in my 20’s.

Lesson #2: A bankruptcy may not be a good thing to have to have, but it is not the end of the world either. Life still can go on and be normal.

Lesson #3: But just don’t get in debt in the first place.

Lesson #4: Documents things people tell you. Save e-mails. Save voicemails. Save texts. If those people go back on their word later, you will have proof that they said one thing but did another. Without the proof, you just look like an idiot looking to pick a fight.

Lesson #5: Acupuncture greatly helps with pregnancy pain and queasiness. Next baby, don’t wait until 17 weeks along to get some help with all of that.

Lesson #6: You are not obligated to keep trying to help people who don’t listen to your advice.

Lesson #7: You shouldn’t keep friends who don’t also try to be nice to your spouse

Lesson #8: If you go to the trouble of writing something from the heart, save it. Don’t just post it online and not keep the text in your computer. Otherwise, someone can delete all of that and you can’t re-post it somewhere else.

Lesson #9: Free help from the government like WIC is a blessing and it doesn’t make you a low-life for accepting it.

Lesson #10: God can and will deliver you from even the lowest of the low points in your life.
